Attention! The procedure is given on the example of cars with gasoline engines of the ZPJ series.
1. Jack up the car, place it on jack stands.
2. To remove the required component of the exhaust system, the connecting pipes must be cut at marks 1, 2 or 3 (see illustration).

3. Lay and secure the chain 4 pipe cutters «A» on the pipe (see illustration). Check the ease of movement of the chain on the pipe, if necessary, lubricate the chain. If the chain is too tight, the pipe cutter may deform the pipe.

4. Cut the pipe and remove the required component.
5. To connect the pipes, use a suitable collar or connecting element 5 from repair kit 1736.06. Install element 5 on both pipes to be connected and mark its position by marking 6 (see illustration).

6. Attach the element to the muffler pipe. Apply a small amount of sealant to the area between the marks 6 (see illustration 5.5), and also lubricate the connecting element, then fix it with clamps 7 and 8 (see illustration).

7. Insert the connecting pipe into the element 5 and tighten the nuts fastening the clamps 7 and 8. Align the connecting element according to marks 9 and 10 (see illustration).
