The exhaust system consists of an exhaust manifold, turbocharger, downpipe, muffler and catalytic converter (see illustrations 1.0-1.0i). The intake pipe is connected to the exhaust manifold, and on vehicles with turbocharged engines, to the turbocharger.

The exhaust manifold is attached to the cylinder head. The exhaust system components have threaded connections and clamps. When installing the exhaust system, make sure that its pipes are secured without stress and are located at a sufficient distance from the bottom.

To make it easier to unscrew the nuts and bolts during the next repair, lubricate them with high-temperature paste. Before installing the exhaust system components, clean their joints from rust with sandpaper.
