Peugeot 405 cars with 1.4 dm³ petrol engines intended for the Polish market have been assembled in Poland since 1993 (at the car factory in Lublin) with the GL equipment variant.

Main differences (compared to the previously described Peugeot cars) consist of using the engine (tU families), as well as gearboxes (type MA) with a design that differs from the previously described models.

This subsection provides technical characteristics of Peugeot 405 GL 1.4 vehicles, and describes the maintenance and repair of only the engine and gearbox in the scope of significantly different operations. The remaining units are structurally no different. When servicing and repairing them, use the information contained in the main part of the proposed Manual, as well as the data provided in subsection 3.3.1.
