Checking the condition of the drive shaft protective cover (20,000 km/12 months) (Peugeot 405)

Please note: On models from 1994 onwards, the specified interval for this procedure is 15,000 km or 12 months.

Raise the front of the car, turn the front wheels to the maximum angle, and, slowly rotating the wheel, check the condition of the protective cover (indicated by the arrow) constant velocity joints, as well as fastening the covers with clamps. If there is any, even minor, damage to the protective cover, it must be replaced immediately.
