Petrol engines
Caution! When working on the fuel system, special care must be taken.
The fuel filter is replaced after 30,000 km for carburetor models and 60,000 km for injection models.
Carburetor models
The fuel filter is installed in the fuel supply hose between the pump and the carburetor in the engine compartment.
1. To replace the fuel filter, remove the clamps from the hoses, and then remove the hoses from the filter.
2. When installing the filter, pay attention to the arrow on the filter body, which shows the direction of fuel flow passing through the filter, that is, to the fuel pump.
3. Check the fuel tank for sediment and impurities on the carburetor side. Clean the tank as needed.
4. Fuel system fittings on the tank:
- top hose - return to reservoir;
- middle hose - from the pump;
- lower hose - to the carburetor inlet.
Models with fuel injection system
The fuel filter is located underneath the vehicle, on the right side of the fuel tank. The arrows indicate the fuel supply hoses (A) and the bracket mount (B).
1. Clamp the fuel supply hose on the filter side, remove the hose clamps, and then remove the hoses from the filter. Loosen the filter bracket mounting nut and pull the filter out of the bracket.
2. When installing the filter, pay attention to the arrow on the filter body, which shows the direction of fuel flow through the filter.
3. Install the new filter into the bracket and secure with the nut, then install the clamps and remove the clamp from the fuel hose.
4. Start the engine and check the hose connections to the filter for leaks.
Diesel engines
The filter should be replaced every 22,500 km.
1. Remove the bottom cover where the filter is attached.
2. Replace the filter insert and check the condition of the gaskets.
3. Secure the lid.
4. Start the engine and check for leaks.
