The fuel filter is located next to the fuel tank under the bottom of the vehicle. When removing the fuel filter, all safety precautions related to flammable substances must be observed. When disconnecting the hoses, the pressure in the fuel system must be released.
37. Place the rear of the vehicle on jack stands.
38. Disconnect the filter mount from the left side of the fuel tank.
39. Remove the clamps securing the hoses to the fuel filter. At the factory, the hoses are secured with clamps. When replacing the fuel filter, you can install more conventional clamping clamps tightened with a screw.
40. Disconnect the fuel hoses from the filter. There are arrows on the filter housing indicating the direction of fuel flow.
41. Remove the fuel filter and install a new one (see illustration).

The filter is installed in the reverse order of removal. After installing the fuel filter, start the engine and make sure the fuel hoses are tightly sealed.
Caution! The fuel system maintains a certain pressure, which means that when removing the fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel injectors, fuel rail, and pressure regulator, or when disconnecting hoses, it is necessary to relieve the pressure to prevent fuel from escaping.
The procedure to follow before disconnecting the relevant part of the fuel system is as follows.
42. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
43. Place a container under the joint to be separated and wrap the joint itself with a rag.
44. Unscrew the union nut. Loosen the nut slowly to allow the pressure to release.
Plug the holes to prevent fuel from leaking out and dirt from getting in.
