Replacing the replaceable air filter element (Peugeot Eurovans 806)

The air filter element is replaced after 60,000 kilometers, but sometimes replacement is necessary earlier. The location of the air filter may vary (see illustrations 3.0b and 3.0c).

31. Disconnect the low pressure hose and air hoses at the end of the air cleaner housing. Cut the hose clamps and use new clamps when installing the hoses.

32. Remove the inlet pipe on the top of the air filter housing.

33. Press back the clamp springs that hold the air filter cover on the housing.

34. Remove the sealing ring. The sealing ring must be replaced if its condition requires it.

35. Remove the replaceable air filter element. If the filter element is not very clogged or dirty, it can be blown out with compressed air. Blow out the filter element from the inside to the outside.

36. Wipe the inside of the air filter housing with a rag and install a new replaceable filter element. Make sure it fits properly.

All other work is performed in the reverse order of removal.
