Removal



Caution: Since the oil is drained from a hot engine, take precautions around nearby sources of high temperature.


When replacing the filter, also make sure that no oil gets on the catalytic converter.

Unscrew the cover (1).

Note: The latches (2) are designed to hold the cover on the 27 mm diameter bushing so that you can move the cover on the catalytic converter without burning your hands.


Slide and remove the cover.

Remove the filter from the cover by pulling the replaceable filter element (4) in the direction indicated by the arrows (A).

Remove the gasket (3).

Installation



Install the new sealing cuff (3) and the new filter element (4).

Install the cover assembly with the filter element, tighten to 28 Nm.
