Engine oil
TUD3 engines:
- Excluding filter — 3.2 litres
- Including filter — 3.5 litres
TUD5 engines:
- Excluding filter — 4.25 litres
- Including filter — 4.55 litres
- Cooling system — 6.0 litres (approximately)
Transmission — 2.0 litres
Power-assisted steering — 1.7 litres (approximately)
Fuel tank — 45.0 litres
Washer reservoirs
Windscreen washers only — 1.5 litres
Windscreen and tailgate washers — 2.8 litres
Headlight washer reservoir — 5.6 litres
Cooling system
Antifreeze mixture:
- 50% antifreeze — Protection down to -35°C
Note: Refer to antifreeze manufacturer for latest recommendations.
Fuel system
Idle speed:
- TUD 3 engines — 780±20 rpm
- TUD 5 engines before July 1996 - Lucas pump — 775±25 rpm
- TUD 5 engines from July 1996, without air conditioning — 775±100 rpm
- TUD 5 engines from July 1996, with air conditioning — 850±25 rpm
Anti-stall speed:
- TUD 3 (with 1.0 mm shim/feeler blade inserted) — 1600 rpm
TUD 5:
- Lucas pump (with 1.5 mm shim/feeler blade inserted) — 1600±100 rpm
- Bosch pump (with 1.0 mm shim/feeler blade inserted) — 825±100 rpm
Brakes
Brake pad friction material minimum thickness — 2.0 mm
Brake shoe friction material minimum thickness — 1.5 mm
Tyre pressures
