Due to the complexity of the sunroof drive mechanism, considerable experience and knowledge are required to restore, replace or adjust the sunroof components. Access to the sunroof components requires removing the headliner, which is a very complex operation. Therefore, this work must be performed at a service station.
Removal
1. Remove the negative cable from the battery.
2. Remove the light switch and lamp shade from the ceiling remote control to access the remote control mounting screws.
3. Remove sun visors.
4. Unscrew the screws and remove the remote control from the ceiling. Disconnect the electrical connector from the back of the remote control.
5. Unscrew the ground busbar mounting bolt.
6. Remove the relay hanger from the ceiling.
7. Unscrew three screws (indicated by arrows) and remove the motor assembly from the ceiling.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
