Trunk lid lock cylinder



Removal



1. Open the trunk lid.

2. Remove the boot trim retaining pins and unscrew the boot trim from the top edge of the boot.

3. Drill out the rivets (indicated by the arrow) fastenings of the upper part of the trunk outer trim and remove the trim.

4. While working in the luggage compartment, unscrew the bolt (indicated by the arrow) and disconnect the rod from the lock cylinder.

5. Drill out the rivets or unscrew the bolts and remove the lock cylinder from the body panel.

Installation



1. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following points.



2. Install the trunk exterior trim and lock cylinder using new rivets.

3. Check the operation of the lock before installing it back into the trunk trim.

4. Adjust the position of the lock cylinder rod (loosening the bolt and moving the rod).

2. Remove the boot trim retaining pins and unscrew the boot trim from the top edge of the boot.

3. Unscrew the two bolts, remove the lock and disconnect the rod.

Installation



1. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Trunk lid lock strike plate



The locking plate is screwed to the trunk lid with two bolts. The plate is adjusted by moving it within the elongated holes for the bolt.
