Trunk lid
1 - cover, 2 - lining, 3 - rubber seal, 4 - spring, 5 - loop
Removing
1. Open the trunk lid.
2. Mark with paint the position of the hinges in relation to the trunk lid.
3. Remove the springs holding the trunk open.
4. Unscrew the four fastening elements of the trunk lid (two per side). This action must be performed by two people.
5. Remove the cover from its seat.
Installation
1. Install the cover in the hinge fasteners. This action must be performed by two people.
2. Check and use the hinges to adjust the gaps between the trunk lid and the rest of the body.
3. Fasten the loops.
4. Install the spring holding the trunk open (the arrow indicates the bar for attaching the trunk spring).
5. Adjust stops (indicated by an arrow), which determine the height of the opening of the trunk.
6. Use a jet of water to check if the trunk is leaking. One person with a flashlight should be inside the trunk, the second person should direct the jet of water at the trunk.
7. If a trunk leak is detected, use the hinges and the latch of the lock to lower the lid slightly.
8. If the seal is cracked, it should be replaced.
9. Lubricate the seal with special grease.
10. While driving, check if there are any vibrations in the trunk.
