Internal handle
Removing
1. Remove door trim.
2. To access the door opening handle, remove the protective film from the door.
3. After unscrewing the inner fastening element of the door handle, pull the handle back (arrow), holding it in the open position (arrow).
4. Remove the inner door handle by moving it slightly backwards (arrow) and simultaneous rotation (arrow).
5. Slide the handle assembly to the front of the door, then remove the assembly from the door and disconnect the linkage.
Installation
Installation is made in sequence, return to removal.
External door handle
Removing
1. Remove door trim.
2. To access the door opening handle, remove the protective film from the door.
3. unscrew the nut (indicated by the arrow in the figure on the left) handle attachment.
4. On later models, remove the plastic cover on the door handle.
5. Pull the handle out of the door and disconnect the lock rod from the handle.
Installation
Installation is made in sequence, return to removal.
Front door lock cylinder
The lock cylinder can be removed as follows, but it is not necessary to remove the door trim to gain access to the lock mechanisms.
1. Make two special devices, each of which consists of two screws, i.e. screw with a diameter of 4.2 mm and a length of 12.7 mm, soldered to the end of the screw with a diameter of 8 mm.
2. Open the door and use a flathead screwdriver to pry out the two plastic plugs located at the back of the door frame.
3. Screw the special tools into the lugs of the mounting bracket.
4. Push tools inside the door frame to remove the shackle from the lock cylinder.
5. Refit the lock and use special tools to shackle the lock cylinder.
6. Check that the shackle is securely connected to the lock cylinder, then unscrew the tools from the shackle and install the two plastic plugs.
Removing
1. Remove door trim.
2. To access the bracket of the lock cylinder, remove the protective film from the door.
3. Working inside the door, slide the brace away from the back of the lock cylinder.
4. Remove the lock cylinder from outside the door.
Installation
Installation is made in sequence, return to removal.
Door lock
Removing
1. Remove the inner and outer door handles.
2. Unscrew the three screws securing the lock at the rear of the door.
3. Where applicable, disconnect the wire contact from the central locking motor on the lock assembly.
4. Lower the lock into the door, disconnect the rods from the lock and remove the lock from the door.
Installation
Installation is made in sequence, return to removal.
