1. Remove the instrument panel.

2. Unscrew bolts 1, and then remove bracket 2 (see illustration).

3. Unscrew bolts 3 and move spacer 4 away from the work area (see arrow in illustration).

4. Release block 5 from the holders without disconnecting its plug, then unscrew bolts 6 and 7 (see illustration).

5. Unscrew bolt 8, remove crossbar 9 and right air duct 10 (see illustration).

6. Disconnect the left air duct.

7. Unscrew bolts 11, 12 (see illustration).

8. Remove the cover 13 of the windshield washer reservoir (see illustration 5.7).

9. Remove the grille 14 securing the fairing (see illustration 5.7).

10. Remove the air intake grille 15 (see illustration).

11. Unscrew bolts 16, remove seal 17, unscrew nuts 18 (see illustration).

12. Clamp the heater supply and outlet hoses with suitable clamps, remove clamps 19 and disconnect the hoses from the heater (see illustration).

13. Unscrew nut 20 and remove cover 21 of the heater hose pipes (see illustration 5.12).

14. Unscrew the bolts 22 securing the buffers 23 (see illustration).

15. Unscrew bolts 24 and 25 (see illustration).

16. Remove bracket 26 (see illustration 5.15).

17. Disconnect the wire harnesses.

18. Place a container under the heater to collect any leaking liquid.

19. Lift crossbar 28 to release protrusion 27 from the hole, which holds the heater, and then remove the heater (see illustration).

The heater is installed in the reverse order of removal.
