1. Drain the coolant.

2. Remove the timing belt of the gas distribution mechanism drive (see the relevant chapter).

Attention! The water pump cannot be disassembled: the pulley, flange and impeller of the pump are replaced as an assembly.

4. Remove pin 1, remove tension roller 2, and then bracket 3 (see illustration).

6. Remove water pump 5, remove and replace pump seal (see illustration 2.5)

Attention! On vehicles with ZPJ series petrol engines and DK5ATE diesel engines, the water pump is driven by a V-belt.


7. Remove the engine protective cover (see arrows in the illustration).

8. Unscrew nut 1 securing the engine mount support (see illustration).

9. Raise the engine on the right side and unscrew the bolts of the support bracket to the body (see arrows in illustration 2.8).



10. Remove the water pump drive belt.

11. Remove the power steering fluid reservoir.

12. Disconnect the jet thrust 2 (see illustration 2.8).

13. Remove engine mount support 3 (see illustration 2.8).

14. Remove the right engine mount connecting bracket 4 (see illustration).

15. Unscrew the water pump pulley mounting bolts (see arrow A in the illustration), remove the spacer washer and the pulley itself.

16. Loosen clamp 6, disconnect hose 5 (see illustration 2.15).

17. Unscrew the bolts (see arrows B in illustration 2.15) and remove the water pump.
