The water pump is installed in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:
XU series petrol engine vehicles
18. Clean the sealing surface of the pump.
19. Install the water pump with a new sealing gasket and secure it with bolts 3, tightening them to 15 Nm (see illustration).

20. Install the timing belt of the gas distribution mechanism drive (see the relevant chapter).
21. Fill with coolant and bleed air from the system.
Cars with ES9J4 engine
22. Tighten the water pump mounting bolts in several passes in the sequence shown in the illustration:

- 1st pass - tighten the bolts by hand;
- 2nd pass - tighten the bolts to 5 Nm;
- 3rd pass - tighten the bolts to 8 Nm.
23. Tighten bolt 7 (see illustration 2.5) with a force of 8 Nm.
24. Tighten bolts 8 with a force of 60 Nm, bolt 9 of the tension roller with a force of 80 Nm, and pin 1 with a force of 13 Nm, having previously lubricated it with LOCTITE FRENETANCH sealant (see illustration).

25. Apply a small amount of KLUBER PROBA grease to the seals 7 of the water pump, the seating pipes of the hoses 8 and 9, and also to section A (see illustration).

26. Install the water pump in its seat, connect hose 5, tighten pump mounting bolts 10 and pump pulley mounting bolts 11 with a torque of 17.5 Nm (see illustration).

27. Install the right connecting bracket 2 of the engine mount, tighten bolts 12 of its fastening with a force of 60 Nm, tighten bolt 13 with a force of 12.5 Nm (see illustration).

28. Install the right upper support 3 of the engine mount and tighten the bolts 14 of its fastening with a force of 15 Nm, connect the torque rod 4 and tighten the bolt 15 of its fastening with a force of 50 Nm. The tightening torque of nut 1 and bolt 16 is 45 Nm (see illustration).
