- at the point of attachment of the drive shafts to the gearbox;
- near the oil drain plug;
- near the oil filler cap.
To determine the location of an oil leak, do the following:
- clean the gearbox housing;
- cover possible leaks with a thin layer of chalk or talc;
- make a test drive for a distance of about 30 km;
- raise the car on a lift or place it on an inspection ditch and determine the place of its leakage by smudges of oil.
Repair the leak and add oil to the gearbox.
