Seats — removal and installation (Peugeot 405)

Front seats

Removal

1. Move the seat forward as far as it will go.

2. Tilt the seat back forward.



3. Unscrew the mounting bolts (one bolt on each side) the rear of the sled to the floor.

4. Move the seat all the way back.

5. Unscrew the mounting bolts (one bolt on each side) the front of the sled to the floor.

6. Remove the seat from the vehicle.

Installation

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Rear seat cushion (sedan models)

Removal

Lift the front of the seat cushion, pull it forward to release it from the clips and remove it from the vehicle interior.

Installation

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Backrest of the rear seat (sedan models)

Removal

1. If available, lower the rear seat back armrest and unscrew the armrest trim fasteners from the body.





2. Remove the armrest trim.

3. Lift the seat back up to release it from the locks and remove it from the vehicle interior.

Installation

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Rear Seat Models (combi models)

Removal

1. Lift the rear of the seat cushion up.



2. Unscrew the nuts (indicated by an arrow) fastening the hinges to the body.

3. Remove the seat from the vehicle interior.

Installation

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Backrest of the rear seat (combi models)

Removal

1. Release the rear seat backrest lock and tilt the backrest forward.

2. Unscrew the nuts (indicated by arrows) fastening the seat back hinges to the body and remove the seat from the vehicle interior.





3. If the rear seat back is in two pieces, remove each piece individually (the arrow indicates the location of the nuts securing the central part of the composite backrest of the rear seat).

Installation
