Steering column covers
Removal
1. Remove the negative cable from the battery.
2. On models with a tilt steering column, move the column adjuster lever to the released position.

3. Working under the steering column, remove the five mounting screws.

4. Then remove the lower steering column cover.
5. Disconnect the connectors from the instrument panel dimmer, radio remote control switch, cruise control switch, and electronic warning light.
6. Remove the upper cover from the steering column.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Glove box (models before 1992)
Removal
1. Under the glove compartment, remove the two hinge pins using a thin screwdriver.
2. Unscrew the two screws securing the back of the cover and remove the cover.

Removal

2. Release the glove box latch and remove the glove box from the panel.
