Steering column covers
Removing
1. Remove the negative cable from the battery.
2. On models with a tilt steering column, move the column adjuster lever to the released position.
3. Working under the steering column, unscrew the five mounting screws.
4. Then remove the lower steering column cover.
5. Disconnect the connectors from the instrument panel dimmer, radio remote control switch, cruise control switch, and alarm electronic control.
6. Remove the top cover from the steering column.
Installation
Installation is made in sequence, return to removal.
Glove box (models up to 1992)
Removing
1. Remove the two hinge pins under the glove box using a thin screwdriver.
2. Unscrew the two screws securing the back of the cover and remove the cover.
Installation
Installation is made in sequence, return to removal.
Glove box (models since 1993)
Removing
1. Remove the two hinge pins under the glove box using a thin screwdriver.
2. Release the glove box latch and remove the glove box from the panel.
Installation
Installation is made in sequence, return to removal.
Carpets
The carpet in the car interior consists of one part and is fixed along the edge with screws and caps.
Removal and installation of the carpet is very laborious due to the fact that it is necessary to remove all adjacent interior trim: seats, center console and seat belts.
