Removal



1. To improve access to the ignition distributor, first remove the ignition coil.

2. Remove the protective waterproof cover from the ignition distributor.

3. Unscrew the distributor mounting screws.

5. If necessary, remove the high-voltage wires from the cover and spark plugs.

6. Disconnect the vacuum regulator line.

9. Move the slots on the camshaft for the distributor drive link.



10. Remove the distributor mounting elements and remove the distributor.

Installation



1. Check and, if necessary, replace the O-ring on the distributor seat end.

2. Install the distributor by turning the rotor so that the drive arm is correctly positioned (only one position).

3. Screw in the distributor mounting bolts.

4. Install the distributor rotor.

5. Install and secure the distributor cap.

6. Connect the wires.

7. Adjust the ignition timing (see subsection 3.4.1.6).
