Electrical Component Testing Locations
A, B, C, D. Inspection locations (see paragraphs 3–6)
1. Check that there is fuel in the tank.
2. Check for moisture on electrical components under the hood. Turn off the ignition, then wipe wet components with a dry cloth. Apply a water-repellent spray (WD-40 or equivalent) on electrical connectors (see figure Electrical Component Test Locations). Pay special attention to the ignition coil wiring connector and high-tension wires. Diesel engines usually do not suffer from this "disease".

3. Remove the plastic cover and check the condition and security of the battery connections (A).

4. Check that all electrical wiring connectors (B) are securely connected (2.0 liter petrol engine shown).

5. Check the reliability of the generator wiring connection (C).

6. Check the integrity of the fuses (D).
