Starting the engine with an additional battery

If the battery is discharged, it may be necessary to use a booster battery or a battery from another vehicle.

A - battery on a faulty vehicle.

B - additional battery.

C - grounding point to the "mass" on the faulty vehicle.

Attention: When performing the startup procedure, be sure to follow the connection order shown in the figure.

Check the battery voltage (12V).

When using another car's battery, turn off its engine. The cars should not touch each other. Connect the wires in the order shown in the figure. Make sure that the wire clamps are securely fastened to the battery terminals (to avoid sparking). Start the car engine using an auxiliary battery. Let the engine run for about a minute at fast idle. Start the car engine with a discharged battery.

Disconnect the cables in the reverse order of the connection diagram so that they do not touch each other.
