The battery is located on the left side in the engine compartment.
Note. When replacing a battery, make sure the new battery has the same specifications and reserve capacity as the original (see battery sticker).
Battery Care
The service life and operating condition of the battery depends on the number of engine starts, discharges, driving style, operating conditions, climate, etc.
Attention. The used battery must be disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner as it contains lead and acid (electrolyte).
Batteries can produce highly explosive oxyhydrogen gas. It only takes one spark, generated due to improper connection of the starting wires, to cause an explosion of the battery.
The battery contains sulfuric acid, which can cause severe acid burns. If sulfuric acid comes into contact with eyes, skin or clothing, immediately flush the affected area with plenty of water. If sulfuric acid splashes in the eyes, seek medical attention immediately.
Note. If the battery is repeatedly discharged, it will have a negative effect on its service life.
