Replacement of fine air filter in the ventilation system (15,000 km/12 months) (Peugeot 406)

1. Turn on the windshield wipers and turn off the ignition so that the wipers stop in the upper position.



2. In the engine compartment, unscrew the lock nut, pry and remove the driver's side plastic air inlet cover from the base of the windshield.



3. Pry up on the inlet vent panel and remove it to access the filter.



4. Carefully remove the filter from its socket.





5. Remove the filter completely from the vehicle.

6. Wipe the socket and install a new filter.

7. Install the ventilation panel, put the cover on and tighten the lock nut.

8. Turn on the ignition and return the wiper blade to its place.
