1. Move the front seats forward as far as they will go and remove the screws securing the center console on the left and right rear sides.
2. Move the front seats all the way back and remove the negative battery terminal.
3. Open the ashtray lid, slide it forward and remove the ashtray from the center console.
4. Slide the ashtray housing forward and remove it from the center console.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the ashtray housing.
6. Through the ashtray mounting window, unscrew the screws securing the left and right fenders to the center console.
7. Separate the front portion of the left and right center console wings and remove them.
8. On vehicles with a manual transmission, remove the gear shift boot.
9. On vehicles with automatic transmission, remove the button from the top of the gear selector lever.
10. On all models, remove the handbrake lever trim cover from the top of the center console.
11. If equipped, remove the front seat armrests.
12. Unscrew 2 nuts (indicated by arrows) fastening the front part of the center console to the floor.
13. Disconnect the air supply pipes from the heater, lift the rear of the center console and disconnect the electrical connectors.

14. Disconnect the electrical connector from the cigarette lighter (photo on the left) and remove the center console (photo on the right).
15. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
