Checking the rear brake pads
1. Block the front wheels, raise the rear of the vehicle, support it on stands and remove the rear wheels.
2. The brake pad thickness can be checked through the caliper. If the pad brake lining is worn to the minimum thickness, replace all four pads as a set.
3. For complete control, remove and thoroughly clean the brake pads. At the same time, the action of the caliper and both sides of the brake disc can be checked.
Checking the handbrake
Check and, if necessary, adjust the handbrake. Check the freedom of movement of the handbrake cable. Lubricate cable bend points if necessary.
