Checking the rear brake pads
1. Block the front wheels, raise the rear of the vehicle, support it on stands and remove the rear wheels.
2. The brake pad thickness can be checked through the caliper. If the brake pad lining is worn to the minimum permissible thickness, then replace all four pads in a set.
3. For a complete check, remove and thoroughly clean the brake pads. At the same time, you can check the action of the caliper and both sides of the brake disc.
Checking the handbrake
Check and, if necessary, adjust the handbrake. Check the freedom of movement of the handbrake cable. If necessary, lubricate the bending points of the cable.
