Attention! After unscrewing the oil level plug, a new seal must be installed on it.
1. Raise the car on a stationary lift or place it above the inspection hole in a horizontal position. Check the oil level at least 5 minutes after turning off the engine. If you check the oil level immediately after turning off the engine, the result will be incorrect, because. part of the oil remains distributed on the gearbox elements.
2. Remove the left front wheel, unscrew the screws and fender mount brackets to access the fill/oil level plug.
3. Wipe off the area around the plug, which can be identified as the largest head bolt on the gearbox end cap.
4. Use a wrench to loosen the oil fill/level plug in the transmission.
5. Unscrew the plug and remove the seal from it.
6. The oil level should be at the lower level of the filler hole.
7. If oil overflows when filling the gearbox, check that the vehicle is level and allow excess oil to drain into a suitable container.
8. When the normal oil level in the gearbox is reached, install a new seal on the plug and screw the plug to the appropriate torque. Wipe off any traces of oil from the gearbox. Install the protective arch and wheel.
9. The need to frequently add oil to the gearbox indicates an oil leak that must be repaired.
