Location of the control unit for the pre-heating system on 1.9 liter engines
The unit is located on the left front side of the engine compartment on the side of the fuse box on 1.9 liter engines and on the mount below the accelerator pedal position sensor on 2.1 liter engines.
Removal
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. On 2.1L engines, remove the air cleaner housing.
3. Remove the connector from the block, unscrew the two nuts, release the mount and remove the wire.
4. Unscrew the nut and remove the block from the engine compartment.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
