Removal



1. The unit is located on the right-hand side of the engine compartment, on the coolant expansion tank.

2. Disconnect the battery negative terminal (refer to "Disconnecting the battery").

3. Unscrew the retaining bolt securing the unit to the coolant expansion tank (see illustration).

3.3. Unscrew the preheating unit retaining bolt (arrowed) and free the unit from the expansion tank

4. Disconnect the wiring connector from the base of the unit. Unscrew the two retaining nuts and free the main feed and supply wires from the unit - note their locations for use when refitting (see illustrations). Remove the unit from the engine compartment.

Refitting



5. Refitting is a reversal of removal, ensuring that all wiring is securely connected to its original location, as noted on removal.
