2. Manual control is carried out using a lever on the air intake duct (above the cover on the exhaust manifold). The lever can be set to one of two positions: one labeled HIVE ("winter"), and the second, labeled ETE ("summer").

Automatic control is gradual and is carried out with the help of a thermostat located in the upper cover of the air cleaner and a control valve located in the air intake duct (above the cover on the exhaust manifold) through a special cable (see pictures). When cold air enters the air intake, the wax in the thermostat shrinks and the connecting cable moves the valve so that the cold air supply decreases and the hot air supply increases. In warm weather, the reverse process takes place.
4. The system does not require special maintenance. In case of manual control (GL and GR models) it is necessary to switch the air intake as needed (before winter and summer).
