When performing any work on the diesel engine fuel system, it is necessary to maintain cleanliness.

1. Before disconnecting or connecting the power cable to the injection pump or preheating device, turn off the ignition.

2. Disconnect the battery only after the ignition is switched off. Remember that disconnecting the battery will delete any security code that may be installed on your radio.

3. Before starting work on the power supply system, ensure that the work area is clean. If these works are performed in the closed air, then this is possible only in windless weather to prevent dust from getting onto the parts of the power supply system.

4. Clean all union nuts before unscrewing them,

5. Place all removed parts on a workbench or other surface and cover with paper or plastic film. Do not use lint-free rags.

6. If the installation of the removed parts is to be carried out only after a certain period of time, these parts should be covered properly or placed in closed boxes or cartons.

7. Before installing the parts, make sure they are not contaminated again.

8. Do not use compressed air to clean parts if the fuel injection system is opened

9. Do not wash the engine with the fuel injection system open.

10. Do not move the vehicle if the fuel injection system is removed.

11. Make sure that diesel fuel does not come into contact with the cooling system hoses. If fuel does come into contact with a hose, it must be wiped off immediately with a rag. Hoses that have been exposed to diesel fuel must be replaced.
