- no open flames or sparks near the workplace! No smoking! The workplace must be equipped with a fire extinguisher!
- ensure good ventilation of the work area. Fuel fumes are toxic.
- the fuel system is under pressure. Opening the system may cause fuel to escape. Collect any leaking fuel with a rag. Wear safety glasses when performing work;
- thoroughly clean the connection points and nearby surfaces before disconnecting the pipelines;
- place the removed parts on a clean lining and cover them with polyethylene film or paper. Do not use rags made of lint fabric for this purpose!
- cover or seal exposed parts carefully if repairs are not to be made immediately;
- remove spare parts from packaging immediately before installation;
- if possible, do not work with compressed air when the fuel system is open. If possible, do not move the vehicle;
- do not use silicone based sealant.
