The shape of the vehicle identification number complies with the latest requirements adopted in Europe (see illustration 1.0a).

The next important vehicle number is the engine number, which begins with the letter designation of the engine installed on the vehicle. The location of the number depends on the type of engine (see illustrations 1.0b, 1.0c, 1.0d).

When ordering parts, be sure to indicate the year of manufacture of the car. The identification number of the vehicle and the engine number are indicated in the technical passport for the vehicle or in the data sheet. This is official information. which should be checked without fail, especially when purchasing a used car.
