The water pump cannot be repaired and must be replaced if damaged.
If there are leaks or the pump bearing is broken, the water pump must be replaced. The water pump is driven by a belt at the cylinder head and after removing the belt cover and belt, removing the water pump is not particularly difficult. Before disconnecting the hoses, drain the coolant to the level of the water pump. The removed pump is shown on figure 342.
The water pump is installed in reverse order. Be sure to check the hoses before connecting. Finally, adjust the belt tension.
