To change gears, you need to fully depress the clutch pedal and move the lever to the required position.
Warning. Make sure that no foreign objects (for example, rugs) were not located under the pedals. They can prevent the clutch from fully depressing, which can lead to damage to the transmission when changing gears.
To engage reverse gear, first bring the vehicle to a complete stop. Then move the lever to the reverse gear position (to the right and towards yourself).
Do not attempt to start the engine while in gear. The engine may only be started when the gear shift lever is in neutral position.
Warning. When driving, do not rest your hand on the gear shift lever. Hand pressure can cause premature wear of the gear shift mechanism.
