To shift gears, you must fully depress the clutch pedal and move the lever to the desired position.
Warning. Make sure that no foreign objects (e.g. rugs) not located under the pedals. They can prevent you from fully depressing the clutch, which can lead to damage to the gearbox when shifting gears.
To engage reverse gear, first bring the vehicle to a complete stop. Then move the lever to the reverse gear position (to the right and towards you).
Do not attempt to start the engine while in gear. The engine may only be started when the gear lever is in the neutral position.
Warning. When driving, do not place your hand on the gear lever. Hand pressure can cause premature wear of the shift mechanism.
