Removal
1. Remove the center console.
2. On early model vehicles, disconnect the reverse gear lock cable from the transmission control lever.
3. Unscrew and remove the bolt securing the rod (2) to the gearshift lever fork on the lower part of the gearbox control lever. The bolt is accessible through the holes (1) on the side of the plastic gearbox control lever support casing (3 – ground busbar).

4. Remove the gearbox cover and control lever.
5. To separate the lever from the casing, remove the bracket, remove the two half rings securing the spherical head of the lever together with the lever.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, while lubricating the spherical head of the lever with a thin layer of grease.
