Removal



1. Unscrew and remove the shift fork bolt on the bottom of the gearshift lever. The bolt is accessible through holes in the side of the plastic gearshift lever support cover.

2. Unscrew the bolt from the fork on the pivot joints and disconnect the rod from the angular lever.

3. Move the rubber cover off the rod and remove the rod into the car interior; in doing so, you will need to remove one of the front seats.

6. Remove the head from the corner arm pivot bolt, unscrew the bolt and remove the corner arm assembly.



7. Inspect all linkage components for wear or damage, paying particular attention to the pivot point bushings, and replace worn parts as necessary.

Installation



Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal, while applying a small layer of grease to the partition sealing ring to facilitate installation of the rod through the sealing ring. Check that the sealing ring has not shifted during the installation of the rod.
