Installing the locking bracket on the accelerator cable

1. In the engine compartment, remove the accelerator cable from the throttle lever and the outer casing of the cable from the sealing ring (the fastening of the accelerator cable to the throttle lever is shown by the arrow in the figure on the left, the fastening of the outer casing of the cable is shown in the figure on the right).
2. In the car interior, remove the trim under the instrument panel on the driver's side.
3. Remove the accelerator cable from the fuel pedal (the arrow shows the cable attachment to the pedal).
4. Remove the cable sheath from the retainer and tie a cord to the cable, which will be needed to tighten the cable into place.

5. Pull the accelerator cable into the engine compartment and untie the cord from the cable.
