1. On XU9J4 engines with 16 valves, install the plastic support plate to the end of the cylinder head and the drive flange.
2. Screw in the central bolt, having first lubricated the threads with adhesive to prevent the bolt from unscrewing.
3. Install the distributor rotor.
4. On 8-valve engines, lubricate the new O-ring with engine oil and install it in the distributor groove.
5. Align the tabs on the distributor with the recesses on the camshaft and insert the ignition distributor into the cylinder head, rotating the rotor slightly by hand to ensure proper installation.
6. Tighten the distributor mounting nuts.
7. Install a protective waterproof cover.
