Adjusting the gear shift control

1. Remove the air filter assembly.
2. Separate the ball joint (1) of the gear shift control (2) from the selector lever.
3. Set the selector lever all the way forward (position "P").
4. Inside the passenger compartment, set the gear shift lever to position "P".
5. It is easy to pull the gear shift control cable and change (screwing in or unscrewing) position the ball joint so that it is located opposite the ball joint of the selector lever.
6. Connect the gear shift control cable to the selector lever.
7. Inside the car, move the gearshift lever from lock to lock several times, and then check whether the car is locked in the "P" position.
