The fork assembly with its axles
1 – 5th gear forks, 2 – axle of 1–2, reverse and 5th gear forks, 3 – 1–2 gear forks, 4 – axle of 3–4 gear forks, 5 – 3–4 gear forks, 6 – angular lever of reverse gear forks, 7 – reverse gear forks
1. Mark the relative positions of the forks and axles.
2. Knock out the cotter pins securing the forks to the axle.

3. Remove the forks from their axles.
