Disassembling the secondary shaft
1. Remove the rear ball bearing from the shaft using a press.
2. Remove the gasket, 4th gear gear, 4th gear synchronizer ring, sliding sleeve together with 3-4 gear hub from the shaft (without separating the sleeve from the hub) and the 3rd gear synchronizer ring.
3. Remove the snap ring and 3rd gear.
4. Remove the snap ring and 2nd gear.
5. Remove the 2nd gear synchronizer ring, sliding sleeve together with the 1st–2nd gear hub (without separating the sleeve from the hub) and the 1st gear synchronizer ring.
6. Remove the snap ring and 1st gear.
7. Remove the front bearing retaining ring.
8. Remove the front bearing using a press.
Disassembling the primary shaft
If any of the ball bearings is damaged, it must be removed using a press. Once removed, the bearing cannot be reused.
