Cars with 1.4 dm³ TU3 engines are equipped with an MA gearbox. This is a two-shaft gearbox with five synchronized forward gears and one reverse gear, all synchronizers are located on the secondary shaft. The gearbox is installed transversely in the car, on the extension of the engine and is combined in one housing with the main gear and differential.
