The hood lock cable consists of two parts: the main part connects the hood release lever to the lock on the driver's side, the second part connects the locks.

Main cable



1. Remove the driver's side headlight.

2. Unscrew the screw (indicated by the arrow) bonnet lock cable fastenings. Disconnect the bonnet…


2. Unscrew the screw (indicated by the arrow) bonnet lock cable fastenings. Disconnect the bonnet cable from the clamps located in the headlight socket.

3. Tie a thin, strong cord to the end of the rope and release the rope from all fastenings along its entire length.

4. In the car, unscrew the bolts and remove the hood release handle. Remove the cable into the car. When the end of the cable appears from the engine compartment bulkhead, untie it from the hood release cable and leave it in the car. The cable will need to be used to tighten the new cable into place.

5. Disconnect the additional cable from the hood release locks and remove it.
