Removal
1. Open the hood, press in the pins securing the radiator grille connectors and remove them. Remove the brackets securing the side parts of the radiator grille and, using a large screwdriver as a lever, press in the center bracket. Remove the radiator grille.
2. Mark the location of the hood release lock mounting bolts with a marker. Unscrew both bolts. Remove the hood release lock from the vehicle and remove the additional cable from the lock.
Installation
1. Connect the additional hood release cable to the lock and install the lock on the front cross member.
2. Secure the lock with bolts, aligning them with the marks made earlier.
3. Check the operation of the lock. Lubricate the lock with a universal lubricant.
4. Install the radiator grille back into place.
