The timing chains are installed in the reverse order of removal. The threads of the chain guide bolts and tensioner shoes should be lubricated with Loctite.

Attention! When laying the chain on the camshaft sprocket of the front cylinder head, mark 7 on the sprocket must be centered between marks 8 on the chain links. At the same time, mark 9 on the leading sprocket of the timing mechanism must coincide with mark 10 on the chain (see illustration 3.0).

21. Turn the crankshaft clockwise one revolution, then turn it another 240°. Mark 12 on the drive sprocket of the timing mechanism should be opposite mark 15 on the chain, and mark 13 on the camshaft sprocket should be between marks 14 on the chain (see illustration).

22. Tighten bolt 17 securing the sprocket to the camshaft with a force of 80 Nm.
