1. On some models, the timing case gasket is not initially installed. Instead, a special sealant is used. On these models, the O-ring between the cylinder block and the timing case is a different size.
2. When installing the timing case on these models, you should either use a room temperature vulcanizing sealant and replace the O-ring with a new one of the correct size, or install the case with a gasket and a normal O-ring.
3. O-rings can be distinguished by their internal diameter: 12 mm when used with a gasket and 14 mm when used with a sealant.
