When performing the following work, only partial removal of the timing belt is required, i.e. the belt is removed only from the camshaft toothed pulley:
- Removal and installation the cylinder head.
- Removal and installation the camshaft and adjusting valve clearances.
The following work requires complete removal of the timing belt:
- Replacing the front crankshaft oil seal.
- Removal and installation the oil pump drive and oil pump drive chain.
- Removal and installation the water pump.
