The rear oil seal can be removed with the flywheel removed. This may be necessary when the clutch begins to slip due to oil penetration from the crankcase.
Remove the oil seal from the crankcase with a screwdriver, without damaging the crankcase and the crankshaft flange. To make the job easier, you can screw in two self-tapping screws on both sides of the seal and use a screwdriver to pry up both screw heads alternately. Step by step the seal is pulled out.
Check the working surface of the crankshaft. If there is wear from the old seal, the new seal should be pressed into the crankcase a little deeper.
Carefully press in the new seal using a rod of the appropriate diameter. Lubricate the outside of the seal with engine oil and put a little universal grease into the seal lips. If the crankshaft is normal, press the oil seal to the edge; otherwise, press the seal slightly deeper than the crankcase surface level. Check that the seal is installed evenly around the circumference.
