The front oil seal is located in a flange in front of the oil pump and can be removed without removing the engine, but the timing belt must be removed. The work is carried out in accordance with the instructions section 16.7. To remove it, it is better to screw two self-tapping screws into the oil seal from opposite sides and pull the oil seal out using them with a screwdriver and pliers. Lubricate the outside of the new seal with engine oil and apply a little universal grease into the seal lips. Press the oil seal in along the edge without deforming it.
